Location & Natural LightFinding the right location for creating a image is always fun when it all comes together. This shot was taken in New Mexico at Bandelier National Monument on a photo workshop I was leading. This is up 3 tall ladders, I would guess 60' total. The opening is man made and forms the perfect spot to place the model. Indirect light is coming in from our left creating a soft box effect and the dark space behind the model creates great contrast. I love using a sepia filter for this one. No additional lighting was needed. I moved her out to the edge of the opening until the light was just what I wanted. Just the right amount of highlight and shadow for this image.
